Job Description - UX Designer

The UX Designer : similar to a Web Designer, they invent, program and code websites

The job of the UX Designer is quite close to the one of the Web Designer, however it focuses more towards the user’s experience on the website, aiming to make it more practical, fluid, and ergonomic.

To succeed in doing such a job, the UX Designer has to know their clients, know what they want and how they feel, and it implies having a strong knowledge about marketing, and especially human psychology.

But such skills are not the only ones the UX Designer must master. They must also be able to think up of designs and concepts for a website, and know how their coding works.

The UX Designer is however not to be mixed up with the UI Designer. Their names are quite similar and they usually work together, but we can notice some nuances in their tasks.

While the UX Designer will think up of a “concept” of the website, the UI Designer will work after them, to apply their idea by doing the graphics and the coding themselves.

Therefore the UX Designer has more of a theoretical role, while the UI Designer has more of a practical role.
